"Vexations" is a piano piece by Erik Satie composed in 1895. Its theme consists of just one line and two variations. The composer left a mysterious note in which he suggests to play the theme 840 times in a row. A computer mixes the sound of the original together with the sounds produced in the exhibition space. This is how the original theme from "Vexations", enriched with the additional information, generates endless variations on the piece.
