Inner Wars
Inner Wars
Wars, which actually imply an interaction between people or nations, are not only destructive towards an exterior but also cause extreme repercussions towards the individual and collective psyche: “War is terrible insofar as it creates more evil people than it removes” (Immanuel Kant). In a simple setting Cherry Blossom thwarts a cynical metaphor of World War II about spring and premature death in Japan. With Murphy the viewer gains insight into a veteran phenomenon which seems merely trivialised by the term ‘Post Dramatic Stress Disorder’. RIP in Pieces America documents the inner battle of its protagonists who disseminate their dark premonitions and conspiracy theories in amateur internet videos.
