Pe Lang (b. 1974 in Switzerland) is a sound artist based in Zurich and Berlin. His work includes sound installation, performance and composition. Lang has performed and exhibited his work at a number of festivals including transmediale, Elektra Montreal (ca), Sonic Acts XII Amsterdam (nl), Dissonanze Roma (it), ISEA 2008 Singapore (si), and at galleries such as bitforms Gallery, New York (us), Miller Fine Arts Center Mcminville (us), Netherlands Media Art Institute Amsterdam (nl), Cybersonica London (uk). His work focuses on minimal and elegant kinetic systems, combined with different materials, which are used as sound sources. Selected awards and residencies include the Sitemapping/Mediaprojects Award, Bundesamt für Kultur (2005 and 2008), Swiss Art Award (2009) and artists-in-labs, Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (2007).
