Mike Sandbothe

Mike Sandbothe (b. 1961) is a German philospher who co-founded the new branch of media philosophy and one of the main proponents of philosophical pragmatism in Europe. He was Professor of Media Culture Studies at the Jena University and for Media Philosphy at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin and at the Aalborg University in Denmark, where he is also a professor for Pragmatist Body Research at for the Faculty of Humanities. Furthermore he works in Denmark, Germany, and Finland as a prolific author, film producer, and media advisor. The Temporalization of Time (2001; German 1998) is one of his various English publications. Sandbothe is engaged in various cultural political organisations and projects such as Nomad Academy Copenhagen, Probono Filmproduction Berlin/Cologne, Ogron Technologies Europe, and the independent Web-TV programme bedeep.tv.
