Manon De Boer was born in 1966 in Kodaicanal, India. She studied at the Akademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Rotterdam and at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. Curently the artist lives and works in Brussels and Amsterdam and was awarded with the Prix Georges de Beauregyard at the International Dokumentary Film Festival of Marseille 2004 and for the best experimental film at the 14^th Curtas Vilado Condo Film Festival in Portugal (2006). In 2008 she had a solo show at Frankfurter Kunstverein, at Witte de With, Rotterdam and at Jan Mot, Brussels. Her latest work is included in the 5th Berlin Biennial 2008.
