‘Imaginary Conversations in Reverberant Rooms' is the debut album from Sydney artist Gail Priest. Preoccupied with the failure of humans to truly communicate, the work is an attempt to capture lost conversations and failed 14 communions - with intimates, with people we will never know, with spaces and objects. Certain pieces resort to the flawed strategy of voice and text, while others weave shards, fragments and digital debris into potent atmospheres and near-future fantasies.
