transmediale.03 hosts three culture labs involved in technology, art and design research which will be working onsite in the public space of HKW. Each of the three laboratories that include ToroLab (Tijuana), The Trinity Session (Johannesburg) and De Waag - Society for Old and New Media (Amsterdam), works on crossing political, cultural and technological boundaries. Rather than merely critique the plight of the current global system, the teams revaluate the role of art and media practice in urban and Cross-Border Culture.
