A rather eccentric opera written for the video medium including improvised singing and an unorthodox orchestration. The story being told is about a queen that, terrified by the idea of revolution, tries to find out what is happening outside her castle. Her private pleasures, moods and migraines are woven into those of “her” people resulting in a symbiosis of image and sound that culminates in an attempt to murder the young heir to the throne and the ensuing siege of the castle. Collaboration with Wolfgang Muller, member of the (late) “Tödliche Doris".
