Chris Haring

Choreographer, dancer, lives in Vienna as free-lance artist.
Worked with international companies such as DV 8 Physical Theatre (London), Nikolais/Luis Dance Cie (USA), man act (GB), Nigel Charnock (GB), and with Pilottanz, Willi Dorner, Tanz*Hotel, a.o.
In 1995 he founded the Grenztanz Festival at Cselley Mühle, Austria.
In cooperation with multimedia artist and composer Klaus Obermaier he developed and performed the videodance performances D.A.V.E. and VIVISECTOR, both successfully shown all over Europe, Asia, USA and Australia (www.exile.at/dave, www.exile.at/vivisector).
The production FREMDKOERPER, premiered in Tanzquartier Vienna 2003, is influenced by science fiction films and deals with the human body as a cybernetic landscape (nominated as "best performance“ at Biennale de la Danse in Lyon 2004).
In 2005 he founded liquid loft together with Andreas Berger, Thomas Jelinek and Stephanie Cumming and choreographed internationally successful pieces like "kind of heroes" (Burgtheater Vienna 5/2005), "my private bodyshop" (10/2005 Tanzquartier Vienna), "running sushi" (6/2006 ImPulsTanz Festival Vienna). In 2007 the first two productions of the "Posing" series, Posing Project A + B, were staged (Tanzquartier Vienna, Biennale di Venezia). Posing Project B (The Art of Seduction) won the Golden Lion at the Biennale di Venezia.
