A-live is a real-time multimedia performance exploring the theme of an ideal technological society, symbolized as an artificial sun. Drawing on the formal experimentations of the early Russian and Futurist avant-garde, A-lives places in parallel the technological utopia characterizing the philosophies of these groups, and the utopia of information society. A-live also explores the psycho-sensorial effects of sound and electric light in an intensive manner of diffusion. Unlike cinema, which from a formal point of view is a projection of light on a screen, in A-live, the body of the spectator becomes the projective surface. The performance, acting simultaneously on the body and the spirit (Gestalt) of the spectator, thus progressively excludes the division between the performance and spectator to reflect our global cybernetic environment.
