Ben Woodeson

Ben Woodeson

Ben Woodeson makes work that deliberately sets out to confront the viewer and challenge the exhibiting institution. Using everyday materials he creates automatic works that randomly spin, roll, wobble, fall, flick, collapse, shatter and even ignite. Unsurprisingly his studio is full of dangerous shit that frequently goes bang. Woodeson studied at Glasgow School of Art and is the grandson of the German Jewish artist Jack Bilbo. He lives in London and is an artist in residence at The Florence Trust.
