Ant Farm was a collective of artists and architects that, from 1968-78, criticized the commercial media by staging their own pseudo news events and then covering them, creating a parody of both news and American politics. Members included Chip Lord, Doug Hall, Curtis Schreiner and Uncle Buddie. Cadillac Ranch / Media Burn: The Ant Farmers buried ten Cadillacs in a Texas wheat field, calling the public sculpture “Cadillac Ranch". The following year they sent a Cadillac through a wall of flaming TV sets
