Donna Metzlar (Cape Town, 1969) is a key participant in the Genderchangers group which originated in Amsterdam in 2000. She is co-founder of the Eclectic Tech Carnival, as well as the Girl Geek Dinner Amsterdam. At the end of 1999 she decided to switch from nursing to system administration mainly because she knew that general purpose computing and the internet were going to drastically change our world, and wanted to be in the middle of this development. She does not find the cloud very liberating any more and is preparing to migrate her skill set to teaching English.
