In the film we see 16 young girls simultaneously singing the song Everytime. All at home, in the privacy of their bedroom, they maybe dream of becoming famous or at least hoping to be seen and heared. The film reveals a synchronicity in seemingly unique webcam-videos posted on the internet. These so called 'memes' (units of cultural transmission or imitation) make up the evolutionary DNA of the internet. Verbunt's mosaic-films are all collections of unedited webvideos in a high resolution frame, forcing the spectator to select a perspective. These mosaic-films originate from his other visual art (paintings, photography and embroideries) in which he explores the digital self-presentation on the web.
