Nobody likes to be left behind. The cinematographic postproduction tries to neutralise a farewell, or tries to at least suspend it. The film image of a person disappearing in a car is continually scaled up in such a way that the departing movement is completely neutralised and the protagonist retains her original size. Because of the physical zoom into the film material, the image degrades continually. Film grain increases, sharpness decreases, until the image gets completely absorbed in the film material.
