Flags are essential symbols used by organisations in order to communicate specific ideologies. In most cases, flags transform when organisations evolve or are assimilated by others. F(S)lags consists of a series of animated flags, conceptualised around the notion of the occupation of territories. This act of occupation defines our sense of identity and space. The work reinterprets familiar graphic symbols and colors used in many flags today. Tri-colors, stars, strips, circles, crescents ... all endlessly remixed into a distinct visual mediation.
