Herbert Distel was born in Bern in 1942. He was trained as a visual artist at the College of Commercial Art in Biel and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He works as a painter, sculptor, photographer, filmmaker and composer. He is primarily known for his sculpture, sound art and conceptual art.

Peter Guyer was born in Zurich in 1957. He studied German language and literature and journalism. He works mainly as video artist, filmmaker and cinematographer. He is a member of Container TV, Bern/Switzerland since 1981.
