Image Forum was established in the current form in February 1977, however, its original activity was initiated in 1971 under the name "Underground Film Center" to screen and distribute in­ dependent films/videos. Image Forum's current activities are as follows:
- weekly programs are shown.
- a series of workshops for visual artists, concentrating on actual film/video production.
- a film/video library is being built.
- publication of "Image Forum", a monthly magazine with emphasis on film/video.
Image Forum is a non-profit organization and does not receive any grants from the government. Its running costs are solely covered by the admission fee, rental fee, and the tuition from the workshops.
