Joanna Render is a gallerist and academic in the field of Aesthetics. Her pioneering activities in placing media art in the art market includes numerous curated exhibitions and art fair presentations. She also participated in Art Brussels, Art Cologne and ARCO in Madrid. In 2005 her gallery was awarded the Premio ARCO.
Joanna Render has written extensively for museums and art institutions such as the National Museum of Art Reina Sophia in Madrid, the Tinguely Museum in Basel, the Laboral Centro de Arte in Gijon and the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt. She has published several critical essays in academic books. In 2006 she started the online exhibition project „Rethinking About" and began to specialise increasingly in Online Art / Public Art. In cooperation with artists worldwide she develops new exhibition concepts for Online Art, as well as marketing methods. She lives and works in Berlin.
