The Lounge is the festival's primary meeting point for visitors, designed as an exhibition and performance space for artistic projects from this year's award competition. The Lounge encompasses the public foyers, upper and lower hallways as well as some of the building's more unusual areas such as the interpretation booths overlooking the Bilderberg Salon (K1). The transmediale project library is a special feature of the Lounge, where over 1000 works out of a total 1117 submitted for the transmediale award competition 2008, and for which the authors have agreed to provide their documentation, are available for public viewing.
