"Nomads at the 25 Door" by Jeanne C. Finley, scan from the VideoFest ‘92 program booklet.

This tape explores the memory's construction of an ephemeral homeland when a concrete one is lost, stolen or left behind. Constructed in three chapters around a series of two-sided interviews between the videomaker and three inmates in a Nevada jail. Evocative visual imagery and sound interweave throughout the different stories establishing relationships between them. The resonance that is devolped serves as an illusive document to the shifts in power between the government and its people, the documented and the betrayed, our hopes for a stabile homeland and the fragility of our memo
