transmediale reboots itself with a new performative and participatory format for its 29th edition. With the name Conversation Piece, the event creates an intensive space of exchanges, murmurs, and transitions, with dialogues initiated before the event and continued afterwards. Rather than a monothematic festival with static exhibition and program structures, artistic and research practice will unfold live through discussions, lectures, workshops, temporary installations, and various experimental hybrid formats. On our updated website, you can now find the first program details and an overview of our curatorial team.

Passes

The sale of Early Bird Passes for transmediale and CTM Festival has started. There is only a limited number of these specially priced tickets available. The Early Bird Passes can be ordered until 9 November 2015, if not sold out earlier. From then on, our passes will be on sale at regular prices. Press accreditation

Application for press accreditation is possible from now on until 5 January 2016. Press professionals are invited to apply for one of three types of press accreditation: for transmediale, for CTM or for a transmediale + CTM Connect accreditation. The first wave of approvals will be sent out from mid-December.

For the upcoming 2016 edition, transmediale and CTM – Festival for Adventurous Music and Art – will again cooperate with a network of Berlin project spaces, galleries, independent cultural actors, and cultural institutions. In order to create and present a distributed program of events by the various initiatives that are working in the field of digital art and culture as well as experimental sound and music, we warmly invite you to take part in Vorspiel 2016.

With the Vilém Flusser Residency Program for Artistic Research, transmediale/reSource is calling for artistic research projects that actively explore the capabilities and limitations of transdisciplinary and transmedial situations in contemporary culture. The two-month residency program is aimed at supporting projects in different stages of development, from the first conceptual steps up to significant advancements of already existing projects and works.

Die transmediale erfindet sich in ihrer 29. Ausgabe mit einem performativen und partizipativen Format neu. Unter dem Namen Conversation Piece wird sie zur Plattform für einen intensiven Austausch, Stimmengewirr und Umbrüche. Die Gespräche beginnen schon vor der Veranstaltung und werden danach weitergeführt. An die Stelle eines monothematischen Festivals mit statischen Ausstellungs- und Programmstrukturen rücken Diskussionen, Vorträge, Workshops, temporäre Installationen und andere hybride, experimentelle Formate. Auf unserer neuen Webseite gibt es erste Informationen zum Programm und zum kuratorischen Team der diesjährigen transmediale.

Pässe

Der Verkauf der Early Bird-Pässe für die nächste Ausgabe der transmediale und des CTM-Festivals ist mit begrenztem Kontingent gestartet: Erhältlich sind sie bis zum 9. Presseakkreditierung

Die Presseakkreditierung ist ab sofort bis zum 5. Januar 2016 möglich. Presse-Professionals können sich für drei verschiedene Arten der Akkreditierung bewerben: Für transmediale, CTM oder eine transmediale + CTM Connect-Akkreditierung. Die ersten Bestätigungen werden ab Mitte Dezember verschickt.

Auch 2016 arbeiten die transmediale und CTM – Festival for Adventurous Music and Art – wieder mit dem Berliner Netzwerk von Projekträumen, Galerien, unabhängigen Kulturproduzent_innen und kulturellen Institutionen zusammen. Wir laden herzlich dazu ein, das Vorspiel mitzugestalten. Ziel ist es, gemeinsam ein über die ganze Stadt verteiltes Veranstaltungsprogramm zu entwickeln und zu präsentieren, in dem sich die verschiedenen Initiativen aus den Bereichen Digitale Kunst und Kultur sowie Experimentelle Musik einbringen.

Mit dem Vilém Flusser Residency Program for Artistic Research sucht die transmediale/reSource künstlerische Forschungsprojekte, die aktiv die gesellschaftlichen Möglichkeiten und Grenzen von transdisziplinären und transmedialen Situationen untersuchen. Das zweimonatige Programm zielt darauf ab, Projekte und Arbeiten in unterschiedlichen Entwicklungsstadien zu unterstützen - von Entwürfen bis hin zu signifikanten Weiterentwicklungen bereits bestehender Projekte und Arbeiten.
