The rapid development of the Internet over the past few years has made it possible for virtually anyone with a PC and the requisite access to produce and ‘broadcast’, i.e. stream, their own quasi TV programme. Internet telephony - the simultaneous transmitting and receiving of digitised sounds - and videoconferencing, the video telephony with several partners, are the new technologies which are improving international communication.
