Tomoko Inagaki
Japanese artist Tomoko Inagaki (*1975 in Osaka) studied Environmental Planning Design Studium at the Tokyo Zokei University. In 2001 she received her B.A. in Fine Arts at Middlesex University, England. Tomoko does mainly installations and her main interest is in performance art, contemporary Asian and conceptual art. Tomoko had several solo shows like 'Dream Island' in the CAS Gallery, Osaka, in 2002 and 'Underneath the Twinkling Stars' at Krinzinger Projekte, Vienna, in 2003. Some selected group exhibition of her are: 'BANG' at Standpoint Gallery, London, in 2000; Kobe Art Annual 'Millefeuille' at Kobe Art Village Center, Hyogo, in 2002; 'Komorebi' exhibition at Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito, Ibaraki in 2003, etc. Tomoko was Artist in Residence at 'ARCUS PROJECT 2004" and also at the 17th ART-EX Artist in Residence Program, in France 2006-2007. Now she attends the stipend 'Künstler zu Gast Harburg' in Hamburg/Harburg. She lives in Osaka and is represented by Art-U room.
