Juliana Rotich is a Kanyan blogger, digital activist and environment editor of Global Voices Online, which helps to make reports from blogs and citizen media, that are not ordinarily heard in international mainstream media, excessable. She studied Information Technology at the University of Missouri Kansas City and is specialised in technology, the environment, renewable energy, and digital expression in the online and offline worlds, particularly regarding Africa. She is an IT professional in Database administration, Application development and project management. She also is the Program Director of Ushahidi.com, an innovative non-profit web initiative that is creating a tool for crowdsourcing crisis information. She helps to develop partnerships and relationships with other NGOs internationally and in Kenya.
