transmediale 2014 afterglow and The Embassy of Canada in Berlin present three cooperation events in the framework of the annual transmediale Marshall McLuhan Lecture

Focusing upon the material aspects of data storage and transmission devices, Molten Media examines the flux of media and matter through the interconnection between velocity and density. This research applies a deep-time perspective to a rapid-cycling throwaway media culture, projecting an alternate timescale for its material existence.

The project Molten Media by Rosemary Lee connects various discourses in art, technology, and critical theory through a hands-on gesture of explorative experimentation.

Researching BWPWAP reflected on the festival theme of the following year, BWPWAP (Back When Pluto Was a Planet). Like the festival, it interrogated techno-cultural processes of displacement and invention, asking for artistic and speculative responses to new cultural imaginaries.

The festival for technology-based art is soon coming to Berlin! So far the festival has only been held in Russia and will now be outside St. Petersburg for the first time. It will be happening in Berlin from the 13th till the 17th of November in the WYE. reSource transmediale will also be giving its contribution to the programme during these five days of CYBERFEST.

On the 5th of November the Urban Knights is taking place in Berlin for the third time this autumn. The event starts at 7 pm in the Betahaus at Prinzessinenstrasse. A reSource project presentation takes place there at this time.
