Every evening shortly before closedown and immediately before the appearance of the poltergeists, the television networks bless us with 90 patriotic seconds of the national anthem. Instead of standing at attention in from of the TV, as is right and proper, some individuals prefer practicing the exercise of the power off button of their TV at midnight. To explain this behaviour would take us too far afield here, but it is certain that the reason for this is the unenthusiastic form of this national manifestation. The idea is to take charge of the design of the closedown, so that also the people who usually switch off too early are able to enjoy an entire TV programme. (VideoFilmFest '88)
