James Ferraro is a contemporary musician and artist operating currently out of Los Angeles CA, Ferraro’s work is known for uniquely dealing with 21st-century modern life. Themes of his albums range from post-9/11 consumerism, hyperreality and Ferraro has expressed them to be separate permutational subsets comprising together an over-arching theme of the Anthropocene taken in its phenomenological entirety, with emphasis on the relationship between human social evolution and the internet and other artificial environments, cultural, philosophical, social, economic realities spawned from a post globally connected world. With his 2011 work Far Side Virtual Ferraro received mainstream recognition and it was chosen as Album of the Year by The Wire.
