Rasmus Fleischer
Rasmus Fleischer

Rasmus Fleischer is a historian and essayist, working at Stockholm University. His academic work has mostly concerned media history and political economy, with a particular focus on the commodification of music. Most recently, he has co-authored the book Spotify Teardown (MIT Press, 2019). This year he is initiating a new research project about how economic statistics is dealing with notions of qualitative change, a topic he also touched on in a talk a last year's transmediale. He was also a member of The Bureau for Piracy (2003–2009).
