Adrian Heathfield
Adrian Heathfield works in and around the scenes of contemporary performance. His work across critical theory, creative and curatorial practice questions the ethics of the encounter between the spectator and the artwork. He is a co-director of the three year creative research project Performance Matters. He recently published the monograph Out of Now: The Lifeworks of Tehching Hsieh (MIT Press and the Live Art Development Agency 2009), and Perform, Repeat, Record: Live Art in History a co-edited book with Amelia Jones will be published in 2011. He has worked with a range of writers and artists on critical and creative collaborations including video and performance works, written dialogues, workshop projects and durational events. He is Professor of Performance and Visual Culture at Roehampton University, London.
