José Balbino participated and organized art and new media festivals in Brazil and worldwide, including Enfami (Slavador, 2002) and Upgrade!Salvador. He worked on various federal programs developjng policies for digital inclusion. Today, as a member of the DesCentro network, he dedicates himself to the urban radio sound system Rádio Cidadão Comum, in a new opportunity to ''unfancy'' and ''unposh'' the art-media scene.
