This is our most frequent newsletter. Twice a month you’ll receive the latest updates on transmediale and its network. • German version below 

transmediale 2019 is approaching—fast! Festival passes are selling out, so better head over to our ticket shop, where you can also find day passes and tickets for single events. On our website you can now get an overview of this year’s festival structure and see the complete list of 2019 events and festival participants. There is also a lot to discover in our partner program: our pre-festival program Vorspiel opens tomorrow, while CTM Festival and the Study Circle Partner Program kick off next week.

2019 Festival Structure & Pass and Ticket Options

Vorspiel 2019 Opening

On 18 January a multifaceted opening event (https://vorspiel.berlin/#overlay=node/54094/modal) at ACUD MACHT NEU rings in transmediale and CTM Festival’s joint pre-festival program Vorspiel 2019. Join us for live performances, screenings, DJ sets, and artistic interventions—the admission is free. CTM Festival 2019 opens on 25 January

Our partner festival CTM (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/welcome/) starts its anniversary edition Persistence with the exhibition opening of Persisting Realities (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/exhibition/ctm-2019-exhibition/) at Kunstraum Kreuzberg / Bethanien on 25 January 2019, where artists such as Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme, Dorine van Meel, and Johannes Paul Raether present different ways to deal with ever-changing realities. You can also join the Bassiani (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/calendar/2019/01/25/bassiani-x...) x CTM Opening Club Night (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/calendar/2019/01/25/bassiani-x...) at Berghain on the same day or the CTM Opening Concert (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/calendar/2019/01/26/ctm-2019-o...) at HAU1 on 26 January.

Study Circle Partner Program

In association with the transmediale Study Circles Affective Infrastructures (https://2019.transmediale.de/content/study-circle-affective-infrastructures) and Uneasy Alliances (https://2019.transmediale.de/content/study-circle-uneasy-alliances) , three Berlin-based project spaces curate their own program parallel to the 2019 festival. The Institute for Endotic Research presents performances and interventions under the title Infratekture (https://2019.transmediale.de/content/the-institute-for-endotic-research) , while an event series entitled Scaling Connections (https://2019.transmediale.de/content/import-projects) takes place at Import Projects. Das Festival nähert sich – und zwar ziemlich schnell! Die Festivalpässe werden knapp, also schaut am besten in unserem Ticketshop vorbei, wo ihr auch Tagespässe und Einzeltickets finden könnt. Auf unserer Website gibt es nun einen Überblick zur diesjährigen Festivalstruktur sowie eine vollständige Liste aller Veranstaltungen und Teilnehmer*innen. Auch bei unserem Partnerprogramm gibt es viel zu entdecken: Unser Pre-Festival-Programm Vorspiel eröffnet morgen, während das CTM Festival und das Study Circle-Partnerprogramm nächste Woche starten.

Eröffnung des Vorspiels 2019

Am 18. Januar läutet eine facettenreiche Eröffnungsveranstaltung (https://vorspiel.berlin/#overlay=node/54094/modal) im ACUD MACHT NEU das gemeinsame Pre-Festival-Programm von transmediale und CTM ein – das Vorspiel 2019. Kommt vorbei und entdeckt Live-Performances, Screenings, DJ-Sets und künstlerische Interventionen – der Eintritt ist frei. Das CTM Festival 2019 beginnt am 25. Januar

Unser Partner-Festival CTM (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/welcome/) startet seine Jubiläumsausgabe Persistence mit der Ausstellungseröffnung von Persisting Realities (https://www.ctm-festival.de/festival-2019/exhibition/ctm-2019-exhibition/) im Kunstraum Kreuzberg / Bethanien am 25. Januar 2019, wo Künstler*innen wie Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme, Dorine van Meel und Johannes Paul Raether unterschiedliche Wege präsentieren, mit sich konstant wandelnden Realitäten umzugehen.
