Demystification Committee

The artist duo has been chosen for the 2017 Residency Program with their project Offshore Investigation Vehicle.
|
|
Starting their residency in the upcoming week, Oliver Smith and Francesco Tacchini will set up an offshore entity in order to research the structures of power embodied in offshore practices. They will try to identify means of dislocating these financial systems from within as well as explore offshore tactics with additional collaborators through a series of workshops.

Das Künstlerduo wurde mit dessen Projekt Offshore Investigation Vehicle für das Residency Program 2017 ausgewählt.

Mit dem Beginn der Residency in der kommenden Woche werden Oliver Smith und Francesco Tacchini eine Offshore Gesellschaft einrichten um die Machtstrukturen, welche von Offshore Praktiken verkörpert werden, zu erforschen. Weiters werden sie von innen heraus versuchen zu verstehen was es heißt, diese Finanzsysteme immer weiter zu verlagern. Darüberhinaus werden sie mögliche Offshore Taktiken mit Kollaborateur_innen durch eine Reihe von Workshops erforschen.

Seit 2011 veranstalten die Universität Aarhus und transmediale einen Forschungsworkshop als Teil einer laufenden Kollaboration mit wechselnden Partnerorganisationen. Jeder dieser Workshops führt zu einer Publikation in Form einer peer-reviewed Newspaper, die mit neuen Formen von wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichung experimentiert, und zu einem akademischen open access Journal, dem A Peer-Reviewed Journal About.
