The 30-year anniversary of transmediale will be celebrated throughout a month of events distributed across Berlin. The activities will take place under the name of ever elusive, which refers both to the elusiveness of media-cultures in constant transition and to transmediale itself as an ever-evolving project that is always shifting ground.

Call for Participation, Ph.D research workshop

Since 2011, Aarhus University and transmediale have organized research workshops as part of an ongoing collaboration that develops in dialogue with the upcoming festival topics. Each of the past workshops has resulted in the publication of a peer-reviewed newspaper as an experiment in new forms of scholarly publication, and an open-access online academic journal, APRJA. Participants will participate in closed seminars and talks in Brussels, the generation of online and offline publications, and public presentations at transmediale ever elusive.

Das 30-jährige Jubiläum der transmediale wird über einen Monat hinweg mit Veranstaltungen in ganz Berlin gefeiert. Die Aktivitäten finden unter dem Titel ever elusive statt, der sowohl auf die Flüchtigkeit von Medienkulturen in ständiger Veränderung verweist, als auch auf die transmediale selbst, die sich als Projekt einer Festlegung widersetzt und ständig ihre Taktik wechselt.

Ausschreibung zur Teilnahme, Ph.D Forschungsworkshop

Seit 2011 haben die Universität Aarhus und die transmediale Forschungsworkshops als Teil einer fortlaufenden Kooperation, welche sich im Dialog mit dem jeweiligen bevorstehenden Festivalthema entwickelt, organisiert. Jeder der vergangenen Workshops resultierte in der Publikation einer Peer-Reviewed-Zeitschrift als ein Experiment in neuen Arten von wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichung und in Form eines frei zugänglichen Onlinejournals, APRJA. Die Teilnehmer beteiligen sich an geschlossenen Seminaren und Talks in Brüssel, der Entwicklung einer Online- und Offline-Publikation sowie einer öffentlichen Präsentation bei transmediale ever elusive.
