M. C. McGrath is the founder of Transparency Toolkit, a non-profit that collects open data and builds free software to expose surveillance and human rights abuses. He is also a Thiel Fellow and an Echoing Green Fellow. Previously, he studied civic technology at Boston University and did research at the MIT Media Lab.
