Nina Valkanova is an interaction design researcher, media artist and creative coder, interested in the exploration of innovative ideas at the edge between technology, art and design. 

She has been a creative engineer at the Ars Electronica Futurelab and a researcher at Fundacio Barcelona Media, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and at Telecom Innovation Laboratories Berlin. Currently she is a PhD candidate at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra – UPF, where she focuses on the design of dynamic digital displays and visual interfaces located within shared urban spaces.
