Peter Luining is an artist, curator and theorist. He has a background in contemporary philosophy, the Amsterdam vj-scene, and 3D animations. In 1995 the character of his work changed dramatically when he discovered the net. Luining got international recognition with his work clickclub, which distinguished itself because of the way the user could and could not interact with its sounds and images. Since then his work has turned towards a kind of conceptual minimalism, while maintaining his earlier investigation of the audio-visual and interactive dynamics of the net and software. This led to a extensive body of work of which the individual pieces can be enjoyed by themselves but also can be linked to a multitude of art practices.
